Nearly One-Third of Record Peak Demand of 256 GW Met Through Renewable Energy: Pralhad Joshi

India has achieved a major milestone in its clean energy transition, with nearly one-third of its record peak power demand of 256 GW being met through energy sources. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi highlighted this achievement as a strong indicator of the country’s growing reliance on sustainable energy.

Furthermore, this milestone underscores the significant role of renewable energy sources in India’s overall energy strategy.

The surge in energy contribution comes at a time when India is witnessing unprecedented electricity demand due to rising temperatures and increased industrial activity.
