Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in ‘Samvad 2026’, a two-day dialogue programme organised by the Chhattisgarh Welfare Association in Raipur, where industry stakeholders discussed ways to accelerate energy adoption and development across the state.
Addressing the gathering, Sai highlighted solar power as a key part of Chhattisgarh’s future energy strategy. The discussions brought together solar industry representatives, vendors, financial institutions and other stakeholders to explore opportunities for expanding the state’s clean-energy ecosystem.
The Chief Minister said Chhattisgarh is working towards becoming a major solar-energy hub. The state has set a target to install systems in 5 lakh homes by March 2027 and aims to develop around 4,000 MW of green energy in the coming years.
The event also highlighted the wider role of energy in reducing dependence on conventional fuels, supporting energy self-reliance, creating employment and opening new opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs. Sai visited industry stalls and reviewed emerging technologies and equipment being showcased at the programme.
With growing interest in rooftop, agricultural applications and large-scale renewable projects, Samvad 2026 reflected Chhattisgarh’s push to turn its solar potential into a stronger clean-energy ecosystem.
