In a major boost to the state’s energy sector, the Haryana government has approved a ₹913 crore power infrastructure expansion project aimed at strengthening the electricity network and improving the reliability of power supply across the state.

The investment will be used to upgrade transmission and distribution infrastructure, establish new substations, enhance grid capacity, and modernize existing power systems. The initiative is designed to meet the growing electricity demand driven by rapid urbanization, industrial development, and expanding commercial activities across Haryana.

The infrastructure upgrade is expected to reduce transmission losses, improve operational efficiency, and ensure uninterrupted supply for residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial consumers. Strengthening the electricity network will also support the state’s long-term economic growth by providing reliable energy to businesses and manufacturing units.

The project aligns with Haryana’s broader strategy to modernize its power sector through advanced technologies and improved grid management. Enhanced transmission capacity and upgraded distribution systems will help integrate future renewable energy projects while maintaining grid stability.

The ₹913 crore investment reflects the government’s continued focus on developing robust energy infrastructure that supports sustainable growth and enhances the quality of electricity services throughout the state. As Haryana continues to attract industrial investments and expand its economic base, reliable power infrastructure will play a crucial role in meeting future energy requirements.
