India and Germany have strengthened their renewable energy partnership under the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP), reaffirming their commitment to accelerating the clean energy transition and enhancing long-term energy security. The collaboration is focused on reducing dependence on fossil fuels while promoting sustainable economic growth through greater use of renewable energy.

Collaboration to Drive Clean Energy Growth

The renewed partnership will expand cooperation in areas including solar and wind power, green hydrogen, battery energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure. Both countries also emphasized the need for greater technology transfer, innovation, and investment to support the rapid deployment of clean energy solutions.

India reiterated its target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel power capacity by 2030, while Germany reaffirmed its support through technical expertise and strategic cooperation.
